web.archive.orgWayback Machine is a website where you basically can go back in time to see an older version of a website, or, to see a website that is not around anymore. Do you guys use this website? I use it a lot in my free time. It's just fun to go back in time and browse around old band fansites from Geocities or Angelfire, though not every part of the site would always appear.

I use it quite a bit, it's fun to see what websites looked like years before I discovered them.

When I started my new forum, the first thing I did was to put it on the Wayback Machine so that I had a good memory of its beginnings. I also go there to search other sites I go on to see how they looked before I got there.

I use it to go back in time to look at the CNN site from the early 2000s, download certain games, and watch videos.

I use it to go back in time to look at the CNN site from the early 2000s, download certain games, and watch videos. That sounds really fun. I didn't know you could watch videos on the Wayback Machine! Usually they wouldn't let you do that, as in the videos don't work

All videos work last time I checked.

I've used it. Over a decade ago I ran another website, and recently (three years ago now) got back into wanting to have my own website. I found the WayBack Machine and copied some of my old posts (mostly role playing game posts) over to my new forum. It's not perfect, but it was a nice trip of nostalgia down memory lane. I even had the benefit of one of my former members finding my new site because of the tedious hours of work I did to drudge up all those lost posts.

I love the Wayback Machine and tend to spend a lot of time there. It allows me to look at websites from my childhood (which did and still do mean a lot to me), and visit versions of the Internet that were actually good. Before social media took over.
It's just too bad not all forum posts are archived. I can't find many of mine from when I was a kid.

I've went to it to see some forums when they first started out. It's always cool when a forum shows the old & updated versions of how much they have changed.
