The first salads of ancient Rome were dressed with little more than salt. In England a salad composed only of lettuce or other leafy vegetables is called a green salad and is served as a dinner accompaniment. In America a green salad is a separate course served before the main course.

Redwoods are among the world's tallest trees, often growing to heights of 200 to 275 feet, with trunks 8 to 12 feet in diameter. Redwoods are found along the west coast of United States from California to southern Oregon. They are closely related to the giant sequoia.

The art of conducting a musical group was formally established around 1850, but the use of hand motions to direct musical performers dates back to earlier times when a system of hand signals, known as cheironomy, was used in Gregorian chants before musical notation became highly developed. The signals reminded singers of the pitches and rhythms they had learned by ear.

These are the little trees that need to be manicured, but take FOREVER to grow, right?
Hmm, maybe I'll look into adding one to my crystal collection -- and maybe it'll survive my black thumb that I seem to have.
