How's everyone doing? If a genie grants me 3 wishes, one of them is that I wish my mom stop drinking too much. I'm sorry to hear of your mom drinking too much! Pushing them to AA or Rehab when they are not ready can only backfire. What has helped me when dealing with issues such as this is to remember the GOOD times. A good moment, their laugh, smile, something they said, & hold onto that. It helps US get through the pain of seeing them like this.
