Which video game console got you into video games? For me, it's the 8-bit Nintendo.

I remember this very well. It was my Dad that got me and my brother into gaming with the Atari 2600, he used to own one and it was the very first console I was introduced to. After that we were bought a Sega Master system to share between me and my brothers and then we moved on to the Super Nintendo and from there, I became a gamer.

My first one would have been the Atari System. I don’t know what it would have been called. Was from the 1980’s & my mom & I played a lot of games on it on the kitchen TV that it was hooked up to.

My grandparents had a NES for us to play as kids, but our first console at home was an N64.

Yeah, probably the Nintendo64 and then the Atari but the teens years are a long time ago. More recently the PS2 in 2006ish.

It was the SEGA Genesis. I used to play The Lion King on it, until my older sister fried it by spilling orange soda on it.

The Atari 2600!
Side note: the Japanese word "atari" means "To hit a target", also meaning "good fortune".

The Microvision, a handheld that was still making a profit when it was discontinued. With the gaming world quickly evolving there was no way to hook it up to a tv or anything.
Not the sophomore slump at all was the Atari 2600 next which is still my favorite console ever.

I started playing video games around 1999, when I was five. My first handheld console was a Game Boy Pocket that I got with Pokémon Blue Version, and I'm still a huge Pokémon fan to this day. The Game Boy no longer works, but the game does, and it has my most recent save file, which is from late 2012 (after that I played Red/Blue on the 3DS Virtual Console instead). My first TV console was a PS One that I got for Christmas 2000. I mostly used it to play the classic Spyro trilogy.
