How often do you find that you alter a recipe?
I print out my recipes because I hate using my phone as I'm cooking/baking. And then my printouts get grease stains on them, but I also have written all over them with my minor changes I've made. Sometimes those changes are because I don't have the ingredients needed, but other times because some ingredients don't work out.

I always print out recipes that I find online. I make the recipe as it stands, and then afterward, if something was not to my liking, I write on the recipe what changes should be made for next time. If I didn't like it at all, I trash the recipe.

Everytime I go to make a recipe, with the exception of the first time (usually), but I've been known to just add a little of this and a bit of that to any recipe that I come across! I'm an experimenter!

We tend to tweak recipes quite often. We may want more or less of a spice. Or even add in something. My husband is the cook so has that eye & the taste to make dishes great. Me, not so much lol

Usually, I'll just change stuff like if a mashed potato recipe doesn't include butter (I always include butter). Or if my food ends up too watery, I'll put in less water than the recipe says the next time.
