I can't believe I forgot to do my obligatory Introduction Post!
So, here's a little bit about me. I'm in my late 40's, but I have the attitude of a teenager! Yeah, I'm a Toys'R'us kid! (Just without all the cool toys...). I adore anime and the related hobbies of role playing (table top), drawing, creative writing (fan fictions), of course watching anime -- but mostly Shoujo related. I enjoy science fiction, gender bender, romantic comedy, and my favorite is magical girls!
I'm pretty good with computers and tech. For a long time I was a licensed amateur radio operator. I used to travel a lot and take weekly road trips, but that's waaaaaaay to expensive now. I do, however, still enjoy trying new culture's food and cooking and someday I'll finally learn enough Japanese to say more than Konnichiwa!
Speaking of Japanese, that is where my name comes from. It's a Japanese word that means pioneer. A long time ago, back in 2003, when I first discovered anime, specifically Tenchi Muyo!, I fell in love with the opening theme-song to the OVA 2, "I'm a Pioneer". It's got quite the catchy tune, and at one time, I had memorized ALL the words, in fact, I would sometimes spontaneously start singing this song. At any rate, at the time, I was in a pretty interesting spot in my life, and being the adventurous type, it became my own theme-song. My life's motto was born during this time too: "Life is an adventure, so go LIVE it!"
Um, shameless plug, I do operate my own website dedicated to role playing games and anime specifically, so if that interests you, stop on by. Occasionally, I'll crank out a PHP script of MySQL database -- if nothing else, just to keep my skills somewhat sharp. Otherwise, my life is pretty boring as a supervisor/cashier working in a food warehouse. Someday, I whenever I figure out what I want to do with my life... assuming it's not totally too late, I'll start my own business doing something that I enjoy (but probably not in the current US economy), and maybe the fourth time, will be the chime, and it'll be successful.
(Can you tell I'm long winded, and enjoy writing? Or maybe I just am addicted to the feeling of the keys of this keyboard under my fingertips and I'll ramble on and on and on about useless crap?)
Anyway, it's awesome to make everybody's acquaintence! Ja' ne!
