Getting a screen protector for your mobile device is one of the ways that your protect the screen from having a break. So, when you get a new device,is getting a protective screen protector one of the first things that you do?

Definitely. Whenever I get a new smartphone, that's the first thing I buy along with a back cover to give it added protection. These are some basics that I feel everyone should follow after buying a phone.

I always have a screen protector on unless I have a phone with a sapphire screen. And not an Apple "sapphire" screen that forgot the sapphire part, a real sapphire screen like Casio and Kyocera use.

I use a screen protector and it does keep the screen on my phone from being damaged.

Absolutely! I work in a warehouse environment, so lots of empty concrete all around me. I'm also a klutz, and in the colder weather, my fingers don't want to work, so I tend to drop stuff all the time. I've even used a lanyard attached to my wrist when I first bought my phone, but that since broke. (I tripped over a guardrail [that was only two feet long, yet somehow, I managed to collide into it], falling on my face after flying forward like six feet. The impact broke the nylon string on the lanyard, and my phone when flying through the air in the parking lot.)

I had one on my phone, and it still didn't stop my screen from getting damaged.

Nope, not for my phone. I'm worried I'd damage the screen. I don't even have a case anymore, and I'm not sure where to find a good one for my non-iPhone nearly three-year-old phone. Every time I look for cases, it's all for new Samsung phones and iPhones, not what I have. I'm not a big smartphone person anyway, and I don't usually go a ton of places. Oddly enough, I did get a screen protector for my OLED Nintendo Switch, because a GameStop employee offered to put it on for me. I don't trust myself to put a screen protector on a device without ruining it.
